Protect your open slots

Do not fill the last launch slot unless the new mech can fire now or another active mech is about to free a slot. An open slot gives you room to respond to the next exposed color.

Plan for the next block

The visible target is only half the decision. Check which color sits behind it and whether one of your active mechs can continue firing after the lane moves.

Spend stranded ammo

A mech with unused ammo occupies a slot even when its color is unavailable. If you can expose its color safely, doing so may free the slot and improve the whole board.

Use boosters with a purpose

Save boosters for positions where they prevent a blocked set of launch slots or help preserve a strong chain of matching colors. A faster clear is useful, but keeping the board playable is more important.

When a level feels stuck

Pause before selecting. Compare all exposed colors, the selectable mechs, and the ammo already committed to your launch slots. If the game is not behaving as expected, see Support.
